The Sounds In Your Dream

A few weeks ago I went up to New York with one of my friends, Trish, to end the summer before my last semester of school started. I'm not sure where my life is going to take me, but I hope it takes me to New York at some point.

My instagram BFF, Melissa, showed us some key spots around the city with Katherine. It was one of the best moments of my life getting our first coffee and taking a million photos and laughing about how the five dollar matcha is for everyone to get their photos for days. Sounds lame to the outside world, we know.

We went to a few coffee shops, had ice cream, stopped into an art exhibit, had the best brunch ever, stopped into an art studio, and went to a rooftop bar (which felt a lot like being in a Gossip Girl episode). It was easily one of the best days I've had.

I'm also the kind of person who is happy doing anything as long as I'm with good company. We could be "shootin the shit" but if we can sit in silence, have a conversation, or you can make me laugh, I don't need much else. Don't get me wrong, I love going out and going places, but I also won't turn down laying in the grass staring at the sky or a Friday night on the couch to watch Modern Family.

Anyway... enough ranting. I took over a thousand photos while I was in the city.. so I tried to pick some favorites.

  1. I love your photos. What's your editing process? Also I really admire you for being smart enough to work really hard and do finance, but also for appreciating art. People like you are refreshing and rare. Keep it up! :)
